Butter Me Why

Waking, bathing and having a cup of tea with milk before sunrise was my routine as a child.  Smothered in proper moisturizer and dabs of powder. Moisturizer  to protect my skin in the beaming sun.  Powder to keep the freshness during moments of sweat. It was An unspoken teaching to cater to oneself before feeding the cattle in Antigua. 

As I grew in the states, that simplistic essence began to diminish into just waking rapidly and into the world of working. Not much thought of oneself in-depth. Just wake , bathe, run to your preferred route to enter the office. 

During the decades of this new life routine I’ve developed many complexities due to stress including Scarlett Fever and Pityriasis rosea; rare skin rash’s that only concluded I hadn’t been giving myself “me time”.

My skin became so sensitive I was unable to wear those fun perfume infused body lotions. 

Therefore, I revisited a natural product called Shea butter and pairing it with body oil was such a nostalgic moment for me each time I showered in the morning and in the evening. I remembered those crisp early mornings awaiting sunrise with my tea and ready to begin my adventures for the day. I also couldn’t wait for the evening to have dinner and begin the evening wind down. Bathe. Feel so fresh with the weight of the day instantly lifted. The smell of powder felt like the day was pleasantly conquered. Those night sleeps were such a reward. 

When I was unable to retrieve these products , I researched on how I can get this done for myself because I couldn’t go with any store brands at that current moment. 

 Ever since then, I’ve been able play with different formulas and share it with my family. They inspired me to continue the pampering legacy. Now I have the pleasure and honor of sharing this luxurious nostalgia with you!
